For the Persian wars, there were many Persian Generals, Greek Generals, important Greeks, and important Persians. Here are some of those people.
This is General Eurybiades. He saved Greece in the Battle Salamis. This battle saved Greece from being absorbed into the Persian Empire, it essentially ensured the emergence of Western civilization as a major force in the world!
This is Cyrus the great. He was a great influence on ancient Persia. For one thing, he banned slavery, which later only took like 2000 years for when it was completely banished. But still, he also expanded the empire to Egypt, and to a little in India!
WHAT IMPACT DID THE PERSIAN WARS HAVE ON GREECE?
The Persian Wars helped Greek city-states unite as one. They were connected and defeated the Persians together. Without them being united, all of Greece would have been part of the Persian empire. And that would have changed us, and the world today completely!

Answer- The two city states went to war because after Greek-City States were done fighting the Persian invasion, Athens wanted do dominate other Greek nations. So then Sparta felt threatened. So war broke out.

Answer- Nobody really won in the war. Sparta and Athens both were so beat up that Rome took over in 146 B.C. But all of the Greeks great ideas, art, philosophy etc. were still remembered and still used today!
